Projects:

Project 1: National Nature: Research on the distribution and proliferation mechanism of drug resistance genes in human intestinal flora (participation);

Project 2: Study on proliferation of antibiotic resistance genes and evolutionary mechanism of bacterial antibiotic resistance in humangut microbiota driven by eradication of Helicobacter pylori (host).

Research directions:

1. Study on the evolution of antibiotic resistance and the proliferation of antibiotic resistance genes in gut microbes driven by antibiotic exposure; and exploring the interaction of gut microbiota and xenobiotics, and its potential health risk via omics and animal models

2. Design and synthesis of targeted drug for the treatment of intestinal diseases, and constructing efficient drug delivery systems based on bio-polysaccharides, liposomes and PLGA materials.
