On August 30, 2023, at the invitation of Prof. Wang Tie from Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute, Prof. Peng Wang from Zhejiang University came to our Institute for academic exchanges and gave an academic report titled "Research on Thermal Tolerant Calcium-Titanium Mineral Solar Cells" for teachers and students.Prof. Tie Wang, Vice President of Tianjin University of Technology and Dean of the Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute, presided over the presentation, which was attended by all the faculty members and students of our institute, and some faculty members and students of the Institute for New Energy Materials and Low Carbon Technologies.
In the report, Prof. Peng Wang firstly gave an example to illustrate the challenges of the instability of chalcogenide batteries in practical applications, and then introduced the group's work related to the combination of chalcogenide and organic materials to form organic semiconductors to improve the thermal instability of chalcogenide batteries.Prof. Peng Wang pointed out that in the process of improving the properties of chalcogenide materials, it is important to find unique perspectives to dig deeper and delve deeper, especially emphasizing the importance of the mechanics of materials in the process of improving the thermal stability of chalcogenide materials.
