In order to deeply study and implement the important remarks of General Secretary Xi Jinping on production safety, further enhance the awareness of safety precautions and improve the level of safety ability among teachers and students, Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute conducted a special training on laboratory safety education in the morning of September 23, 2022 on the third floor of the 18th teaching building. The training was hosted by Associate Researcher Zheng Yanlong and Assistant Researcher Zhang Wei of the Institute, and all teachers and students of the Institute attended the training.

In the safety training session, Associate Researcher Yanlong Zheng and Assistant Researcher Wei Zhang gave detailed lectures on laboratory safety protection, reagent and drug safety, pressure reaction or container safety, biological laboratory safety precautions, instrument use, safety accident prevention and handling, academic fraud and academic misconduct and laboratory regulations. They also gave a detailed explanation on the operation procedures and precautions of related experiments.

After that, President Wang Tie summarized the laboratory safety education training, re-emphasized the importance of laboratory safety, asked all teachers and students to make good planning before the experiment, grasp any possible safety risks in the experiment, always regard safety as the top priority of the experiment, and continuously strengthen the standardized management of laboratory safety in the future.

Through this special training on safety education, students and teachers can find out their shortcomings in daily experimental operations in time, rectify them immediately, and seriously put the requirements of laboratory safety into practice to create a good research environment together.
