On April 14, Zhenghuai Xia, deputy director of Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, visited our institute and guided our work, accompanied by Prof. Tie Wang, assistant to the president of Tianjin University of Technology and director of Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute.

Zhenghuai Xia, deputy director firstly visited our laboratory and office environment as well as the operation of scientific research equipment, gained an in-depth understanding of the construction and development history of the institute and the difficulties encountered, and listened carefully to the work carried out by the institute and the scientific research projects completed so far, including nucleic acid fast test strips and integrated devices, medical high-performance ion mobility spectrometry and disease exhalation detection gas sensors.

At the symposium, Deputy Director Zhenghuai Xia expressed high praise and recognition for the scientific research work of our institute, and introduced the relevant policies of the municipal government in supporting the development of science and technology-based enterprises and strongly supporting high-tech industries represented by biomedicine, especially mentioning the construction planning scheme of Tiankai High Education Science and Technology Park. He pointed out that the planning and construction of Tiankai Park is an important measure for Tianjin to deeply implement the strategy of developing the country through science and education, the strategy of strengthening the country through talents and the strategy of innovation-driven development, and to make every effort to build the highland of science and technology innovation, which is of great significance to give full play to the innovative advantages and source functions of universities, further promote the integration of industry and education and the convergence of science and education, and support and lead the construction of the socialist modern metropolis.Prof. Tie Wang expressed his heartfelt thanks to Deputy Director Zhenghuai Xia for the care and support given to the Institute.
