On February 27, 2023, Dr. Liqian Wang, editor of Nature Biomedical Engineering, was invited by Prof. Tie Wang from the Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute to visit the Institute and gave a lecture entitled "Engineering discovery and technology for improving human health".The presentation was hosted by the Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute of Tianjin University of Technology, and presided over by Prof. Tie Wang, Assistant to the President of Tianjin University of Technology and Director of the Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute, with more than 100 people listening to the presentation, including experts and scholars in related fields, young teachers and students.

Before the meeting started, Prof. Tie Wang warmly welcomed Dr. Liqian Wang on behalf of all the faculty and students of the Institute.

In the report, Dr. Liqian Wang firstly introduced the journal Nature Biomedical Engineering systematically from five aspects: the origin of the journal, the scope of fields covered, the work of editors and reviewers, the review process and the circulation ratio, followed by a more in-depth explanation of the article submission requirements, manuscript evaluation principles, review requirements, and the revision to acceptance process.

After the presentation, the participants actively asked questions about their doubts in the submission, and Dr. Liqian Wang answered them in detail with her own work experience.

Through this presentation, everyone had a deeper understanding of Nature Biomedical Engineering journals. Students and faculty members expressed that they benefited a lot from the presentation, not only by broadening their horizons, but more importantly, their scientific ideas became clearer and they learned article writing skills from another perspective. At the same time, it also strengthened the academic communication in our school and created a good atmosphere for learning and communication.
