Introduction of instrument
Rotary evaporator is a common laboratory equipment, composed of motor, distillation flask, heating pot, condenser tube and other parts, mainly used for continuous distillation of volatile solvents under reduced pressure conditions, applied in chemistry, chemical industry, biomedical and other fields. It is suitable for reflux operation, rapid evaporation of large amount of solvents, concentration of trace components and reaction processes that require stirring, etc.
Working Principle
Rotary evaporator makes the evaporation flask in negative pressure state through vacuum pump, while heating the solvent in the distillation flask with heating bath, the heating temperature can be close to the boiling point of this solvent; at the same time, it can make the flask rotate at constant speed to increase the evaporation area under the most suitable speed through electronic control, and the hot vapor can be liquefied rapidly under the action of high efficiency cooler to speed up the evaporation rate.
Notices
1. After use, remove the explosion-proof ball in time!
2. Pour off the waste liquid in time after spinning!
3. If the contamination is caused by boiling, clean the explosion-proof ball as well as the vaporizer immediately!
4. After the spin, if the water bath temperature is too high, timely cooling! Do not dry boil!
5. Do not screw the interface too tight! Regularly apply silicone grease (lubrication) to the air outlet!
6. The last person to leave, remember to close the circulation pump and the spin steamer!
