Introduction of Instrument
Vacuum glove box is a laboratory equipment that fills the box with high purity inert gas and circulates and filters out the active material in it, also known as glove box, inert gas protection box, dry box, etc. Because the environment inside the chamber is basically water-free and oxygen-free, the glove box is mainly used for reactions that require more demanding reaction conditions, and general reactions do not need to be carried out in the glove box.
Working Principle
The chamber and the gas purification system form a sealed working environment, and under the control and monitoring of PLC, the closed cycle is carried out through pipes and circulating fans. When the working gas circulates through the purification column, the water and oxygen contained in it are adsorbed off and then returned to the chamber. As the cycle time goes on, the water and oxygen content in the working gas inside the chamber is gradually reduced to finally reach the target of less than 1ppm, and the whole system always maintains a high clean and high purity inert gas environment.

(1)Experimental preparation stage
1. Before the start of the experiment, please make a mind of the drugs and appliances that need to be brought into the glove box, scientific co-ordination, to minimize the number of times to use the transition chamber.
2. Please ensure that the medicine and apparatus are sufficiently dried before you bring them in, and please write your name on them.
3. Before opening the outside door of the transitional cabin, please make sure that there are no items in the cabin that other people want to bring in, so as not to interfere with other people's use.
4. Items placed in the transition chamber must undergo at least three air changes and more than ten minutes of evacuation before being brought into the interior of the chamber.
(2)Experimental phase in progress
1. Three layers of gloves, lab coat and goggles must be worn throughout the experiment.
2. Slowly extend the glove into the box to avoid excessive pressure causing the cycle to stop.
3. The experiment should be operated carefully to avoid the spilling of solvents and drugs and the breakage of apparatus. As a remedial measure, for spilled solvents and drugs, please use tweezers to wipe clean with cotton, and for broken apparatus, avoid direct contact with gloves, use tweezers to clamp and take out of the chamber, especially attention should be paid to the small broken glass.
4. Minimize the time that drugs, solvents, and reaction systems are left open to reduce solvent evaporation.
5. If the glove box appears unstable operation, the experiment should be stopped immediately to find the cause and continue to use only after the problem is solved.
(3)Experimental closing stage
1. The used medicine and apparatus should be placed properly, and those that are not to be taken out of the cabin should be sealed and put into their own trays, and those that are to be taken out of the cabin should be cleaned up immediately.
2. Vacuum pumps, stirrers, scales and other instruments that are finished being used should be shut down immediately.
3. Please remind others of the medicines and appliances they have forgotten.
4. After the items are taken out of the transition compartment, please change the air and vacuum in time for others to use.
5. If you find the glove box running abnormally, please deal with it in time if you can, and report it in time if you can't to avoid greater losses.
